lyrics

The Old Children

this time the crows not to feed
find yourself in my hand
when the talons let go you fall down
to the nest of my jar
poke holes in the lid
and store you up on my bookshelf

my point of view is one small hole in the tree
it's clear the muse's talent has peeked
I drank for years with the masons on Coroner St.
the old children don't let you daydream

there will be no inceptions - or
fresh virgin oceans
that you could explore from your room
you can borrow my maps & stare at my blueprints
but who's gonna pay for the fuel

this towns all your ever gonna see
this mans just as lost & can't find peace

something has lead you astray
now I'm a bitter man
your contagious. stay off my swing
all the ghosts in the playground
think I don't know they're here
well, they won't get no wisdom from me
